Our Goal For Weddings at Green Oaks
We have been hosting weddings here at Green Oaks since 2001. Our goal for weddings is to provide an opportunity for people to connect with each other and our beautiful piece of land through the celebration of love and the enjoyment of farm fresh abundance.
The Garden
We have a beautiful, extensive, perennial garden that is a lovely space to hold a photo shoot and post-ceremony cocktail party. The fence that surrounds the garden is covered with passion flower vine, giving a private, peaceful feel to the garden. As wedding guests wander along the meandering paths, profusions of colors and smells capture their attention, while the sounds of hummingbirds and songbirds drift in their ears. At the edge of the garden is a clearing with a grassy area and deck that overlook the lush riparian zone of Green Oaks Creek. A terra cotta colored patio made of urbanite with a redwood slab bar is situated in the garden and is a perfect place for cocktail service.
Overlook Terrace
Our land forms a natural terrace with a fabulous view of both our small organic farm and the ocean, offering a stunning space to hold a wedding ceremony. Guests walk between the farm’s fields, up a gentle rise to a beautiful clearing surrounded in towering trees that reside at the base of the Santa Cruz mountains. This space contains a spacious redwood deck for the wedding party to stand on and wooden benches for guest seating. It is accessible by foot or shuttle.
Reception Meadow
The reception area is a short walk from the Garden and is nestled between a vegetable/flower field and a eucalyptus grove with views of the farm, the adjacent Santa Cruz mountains, and the ocean.
This large, landscaped space includes an outdoor kitchen with counters, a sink, fridge, a stove top, electrical outlets, a BBQ, a large wooden table and three picnic tables. It is a comfortable place for caterers to set up and utilize. We do not provide catering but can recommend some excellent, local caterers. We put your caterers in contact with our farmers to discuss menu needs: having wedding guests eat some produce from the land allows them to feel more connected to the farm. Organic flowers from the farm are also available for purchase.
The reception area has a large, elegant stone firepit with a matching stone patio and wooden benches for seating around the fire. A redwood slab bar and four cocktail tables are situated in a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the ocean. A spacious dancefloor and string lighting throughout the meadow complete the festive atmosphere.
The meadow has ample space to set up tables, chairs, and a tent(s) of any size. We do not provide these items but can recommend rental outfits that do. There is plenty of electricity for either a band or a DJ.
An adjacent grassy area with a few trees is a perfect spot to set up an outdoor lounge room, farm games, a photo booth and more.
Wedding PRICING
We know how important and exciting it is to work with a venue that offers total privacy and exclusive use of a property. We never book more than one wedding on a weekend.
In terms of pricing, we offer three different packages. Our most popular package is the Weekend Package: for $9,400 you have use of the Garden, the Overlook Terrace, and the Reception Meadow for the entire weekend. For instance, you can have a rehearsal dinner/welcome party on Friday night, ceremony and reception on Saturday, and a family brunch in the garden on Sunday. You also have use of the three cabins and the campground. The price for our One Day Package is $7,200 and includes use of the Garden, the Overlook Terrace, and the Reception Meadow for one day. For weddings with a guest count of 60 or fewer, we offer our Small Wedding Package which includes use of the Garden, the Overlook Terrace, and the Reception Meadow for one day at the rate of $100/person.
VENDORS
At Green Oaks, you have the flexibility to create your own wedding vision. You can bring your own vendors and beverages. When you contact us, we will share with you our list of recommended, hand selected vendors that will work with your budget and vision.
For coordination, we recommend Weddings by Aimée, a small coordination company that will help you with the planning, timing and all of your wedding details. Their expansive experience with our property and area will ensure you feel organized and stress free throughout your planning. Book early to reap all of the benefits. They have full planning packages as well.
Premier Wedding Package
For those couples who don’t want to put the time into choosing their own vendors, Green Oaks offers a Premier Wedding Package. This package offers the very best quality and service with some of the top vendors in the industry. It is important to us that we provide couples with vendors who are experienced in using both expansive land space and fresh produce from Green Oaks and other local farms.

We got married at GOCF in November 2022 and it was a *dream*. Steph & Paul are wonderful to work with and will do everything they can to support your vision and wedding vibe. The vast majority of our guests (110-115) were traveling from across the country, so we were eager to showcase the surrounding natural beauty and GOCF did not disappoint. My husband and I were recently married at Green Oaks Creek Farm in late October and we highly recommend this beautiful venue and its fantastic owners, Stephanie and Paul. If you are looking for an outdoor wedding venue this is a beautiful option and you owe it to yourself to check it out. Below is a bit about the place and why we felt it stood out amongst the venues we looked at. The setting: GOCF is an organic farm off the Pacific Coast Highway, just south of Pescadero and the Pigeon Point Lighthouse. You come up a dirt road, past another beautiful farm and gaining some elevation along the way. The farm has many areas available for your use (at your discretion, and included), with a delightful garden among them. We primarily used the event meadow and ceremony terrace. The ceremony terrace sits at the top of the property looking out over the small valley and some majestic trees with the ocean visible in the distance. The event meadow is below. It is a large open space with a dance floor, some decorative landscaping, a fire pit, and an outdoor kitchen. The things that make this venue stand out, beyond the beautiful setting: 1.) The owners are very sweet people, easy going and happy to help - they are personally invested in the success of your wedding. They also have some vendor recommendations to help you get going - but the choice is yours (unlike some places we looked at). 2.) The property includes multiple locations where you might do your ceremony, take your pictures, or hold cocktail hours/receptions. The choice is yours - they are all included, you need only specify what you would like to do. 3.) The venue can easily accommodate a large crowd - but a smaller wedding such as we had can feel intimate and comfortable. It’s all in how you choose to use the space. Again, you have kind of a blank slate in that regard. 4.) Your rental includes multiple days over the weekend, which makes setup and cleanup a lot easier. 5.) The venue has some cabins available for lodging and some camping sites available as well. 6.) We found the rental fee to be a very good value.

My husband and I had our wedding and reception (as well as a Friday night welcome bbq) at Green Oaks Creek Farm last month, in June 2022. The venue couldn't be in a more gorgeous setting and Stephanie was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. So many of our guests commented on how awe-inspiring the location was--with its ocean views, fields of flowers, and trees--and we couldn't agree more. The improvements that Stephanie and Paul have made in their post-fire rebuild were wonderful additions to our wedding festivities, including the dance floor, gorgeous stone firepit, string lighting, outdoor kitchen, and camping area. We were glad that there was on-site lodging available, too, as it made getting ready for the wedding easier and provided a good "home base" for us during the weekend. We've always loved this stretch of coastline and Green Oaks Creek Farm is now an extra special place for us to return to in the years to come!
